Hi, I'm Jennifer Veerkamp, and Veerkamp Bookkeeping is based in Grass Valley, California. I work with small business owners across the country, with a soft spot for chiropractors and alternative health practitioners (I managed a chiropractic practice for 8 years before this, so the world you live in is familiar to me).

Hi, I'm Jennifer.
I opened Veerkamp Bookkeeping because I wanted to build something the right way: precise, on time, honest about pricing, and warm enough that my clients actually enjoy working with me.
My background is a little unusual for a bookkeeper. I managed a chiropractic practice for 8 years, then spent two years at a CPA firm learning the craft properly under a mentor who was as detail-oriented as they come. That mix is why chiropractors and alternative health practitioners are my sweet spot. I know the specific stress of running a practice where you're great at the patient work and underwater on the back-office work, because I lived that exact situation for almost a decade.
What I bring to my clients now is what I wish I'd had back then: a bookkeeper who picks up the phone, gets the work done ahead of schedule, prices fairly, and treats their numbers with the same care they'd treat their own.
When I'm not in the books, I'm hiking the Sierra foothills, reading fantasy novels, doing yoga, and hanging in Grass Valley with my husband and our two ridiculously cute cats. Pretty sure that's the good life!
